Wouldn't it be awesome to have people coming to YOU, with credit card in hand, ready to join you in your network marketing opportunity? I will share my story of why I decided to focus on building my business 100% through attraction marketing.

I start off going to college to play soccer. I couldn't decide on a major, and wanted something challenging, so I decided on Computer Science. I started to doubt if I would be happy working primarily with machines, but the money was good so I finished up my degree to take on the world!

5 years later, I found myself increasingly dissatisfied with my software engineering career, even though I had made as much as $96,000/year. I was more of a "people person", and sitting behind a machine for 8+ hours/day, every day of the week, was not exciting to me. I started a smoothie franchise, and my road into entrepreneurship had begun.

Somewhere around 2003 I ended up in sales. I become very successful in sales, and was enjoying my career more than ever, mostly because I was able to work with people every day, and also was challenged by the "numbers game".

I started to realize that while sales was cool because I could control my income by becoming a better salesperson and working harder/more hours...I would never be able to have time freedom as my income was directly controlled only by my own efforts.

This lead me to Robert Allen's book, "Multiple Streams of Income", and the concept of growing a network marketing business. A network marketing business could provide the vehicle for residual income, but Robert's book spoke of building such a business by using the internet to attract people to you. (Instead of working your "warm market" - You know - your friends, family, and acquaintainces.)

For the first year of my internet network marketing career, I attempted to do this. I had moderate success, but none of my teams were "duplicating". (Which means I was able to bring others in, but no one else was able to bring people in themselves.)

I finally figured out a few "attraction marketing" techniques, but so far all of it was through trial and error. I started to have a little success, and more importantly, some of the TEAM started to have success.

Fast forward several months later and we have a team of over 4,000 members in a single company. (Be mere chance, at this point I had also built a team "by accident" in another company to about 1,500 or so...more on this later) This single company made a few changes, and merged into another company. To make a long story short, about 10-15% of the members from my team were cut-off from their existing paychecks.

There were many very positive things that came from the company merger, but the VERY best thing my team received from this was the lesson that we MUST own our "own business". One of my mentors, Mike Dillard, calls this owning "You, Inc."

If more of our team had owned their own lists and had owned their own business, then when 1 company made changes that affected them, they could simply "shift" things around and have their income be affected minimally.

Yes, network marketing is one of the BEST ways for the average person to become free from their job. Yes, network marketing has set more people free from the rat race than any other business in the world. But, there are countless numbers of people who have had a "non-You Inc." business, and have found out the hard way that attraction marketing is THE way to build your freedom and security. (including now myself and several people that I LOVE that were on my team.)

To so summarize:

In the past 3 years I've gone from being in several companies at the same time, having no focus and not much success...

Then I moved onto focusing only on a single company and massive focus in just 1 area... (and I did experience full time income and success)

Then finally discovered "real" attraction marketing where I focus on just 1 "sales funnel", build a few streams of income at the same time, own my own list and business models, and experience a much more fulfilling freedom.

My very first introduction to attraction marketing was through Mike Dillard's Magnetic Sponsoring. I was introduced to Ann Sieg's Renegade Network Marketer shortly thereafter...and found myself both excited and confused at the same time. I didn't know who's system I should follow, Mike Dillard's, or Ann Sieg's? They both had their strong points, and as diverse as they were, I really LOVED both of their styles.

Below is a list of the major attraction marketing training available today. It is designed to be a roadmap for you in learning more about where to start and what to focus on.

Renegade University should be the starting point for anyone who's new to attraction marketing and/or internet network marketing. Renegade University is the mastermind of Mike Klingler, who has since joined to team up with Ann Sieg. Mike Klingler originally designed a community called "Marketing Merge", which was designed to blend together the teachings of Mike Dillard and Ann Sieg. Renegade University is FREE training which is designed to get you started in Attraction Marketing and give you the foundation needed for success. You are introduced to Mike Klingler's style of teaching through a handful of step by step, click by click training. Renegade University also introduces Ann's ebook, The Renegade Network Marketer.

Renegade Professional is the "upgrade" once Renegade University is Renegade Professional | Renegade Profinished. This takes the teachings of Mike Klingler, arguably the top technical internet marketing trainer in the world, and expands upon them. There are literally hundreds of step by step, click by click trainings on everything from target markets, copy writing, youtube, twitter, facebook, blogging, article writing, social bookmarking, podcasting, and several other areas. This training is designed for someone who literally has NO computer or internet experience, and turns them into a master internet network marketer. (You can actually apply everything into non-network marketing related internet marketing fields.) Renegade Professional DOES include the teachings of both Ann Sieg, as well as Mike Dillard.

Renegade Breakthrough is an upgrade to Renegade Professional where you get additional coaching and advanced training. If you're deadly serious about your internet network marketing career and are looking to go straight to the top quickly, this is where you would go.

The Renegade Network Marketer is Ann Sieg's ebook, which can be bought standalone, or also introduced in Renegade University and Renegade Professional.

The Renegade System is Ann Sieg's set of websites. It started with her ebook, The Renegade Network Marketer (mentioned above), and also is the "home" of "The 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing".Mike-Dillard-Magnetic-Sponsoring-Free-Training

Magnetic Sponsoring is Mike Dillard's system & set of attraction marketing tools. The term "Magnetic Sponsoring" refers both to Mike's ebook, as well as his system. (The link here has access to FREE videos done by Mike Dillard. These provide HIGH value and I highly recommend you go through these...Mike Dillard absolutely changed my life)

Marketing Merge is Mike Klingler's brainchild to combine both Ann's teachings, as well as Mike Dillard's teachings. It's become a little more "fuzzy" of late because in April 2009, Renegade Professional was launched, and uses Marketing Merge as it's training/login site. (Renegade Professional is a collaboration of Ann Sieg and Mike Klingler)

I hope that helps to explain a little bit more about how all of these attraction marketing systems fit together. Feel free to leave comments below and I'll answer them as I come back to the blog.

</rss:item><rss:item rdf:about="http://internet-network-marketer.squarespace.com/journal/2009/6/22/network-marketing-doesnt-work-online.html"><rss:title>Network Marketing Doesn't Work Online!</rss:title><rss:link>http://internet-network-marketer.squarespace.com/journal/2009/6/22/network-marketing-doesnt-work-online.html</rss:link>

<dc:subject></dc:subject>

I've heard from some very successful network marketers that mlm cannot be built using internet marketing. Over the past 3 years, I have personally proven this to be a HUGE misconception.

The truth is that network marketing CAN be successfully be built using internet marketing. I have current teams of over 6,500 members and growing fast, all of which were built using attraction marketing through internet marketing. The reason most "old school" (belly to belly) network marketers don't believe this can be done through the internet is because they see MOST internet marketers build their online network marketing businesses the wrong way.

Network marketing is a people business. People have the money. People make the decisions. People have emotions and experience pain and pleasure. Because of this, it is ESSENTIAL that you add in as much "customer service" (dare I call it love?) to your network marketing team as possible! This can be done through personal phone calls (or you can use skype for FREE international communication), emails, webconferences, videos, and even live company or team events!

In the long run, people are loyal to other people, not to comp plans and products/services. I've consistently seen that the internet network marketing teams that duplicate the fastest, and have the highest retention, are ALWAYS the teams that have a huge amount of "high touch" and not just "high tech".

For more information around "how" to do this, please see my article on building internet based network marketing teams. (This article specifically speaks of World Ventures, but everything covered here can be applied to every other network marketing company out there.)

</rss:item></rdf:RDF>
